MBA&E Diversity Enhancement Grant 2025
Congratulations to Maureen (Kenya) – our MBA&E Diversity Enhancement Grant recipients for Intake 2026!
We're proud to support passionate individuals like Maureen, who are making an impact through their work. Listen to their stories and learn how the grant is helping bring their visions to life.
Maureen: "My career has taken me from Computer Science into fintech, customer success, and business planning. Over the past eight years I have worked across technology and business, helping teams turn strategy into execution and solve problems that affect how organisations operate and grow.
I chose the MBA&E at HTW Berlin because I wanted to bring these experiences together and build on them. I have a technical foundation and real business experience, and I want to strengthen my ability to think more strategically and lead initiatives that create meaningful impact. For me, this is about more than the next career step. It is about broadening what I can contribute.
Moving from Nairobi to Berlin has been an important part of that journey. Starting over in a new environment has pushed me to adapt, learn, and see things from different perspectives. Through my work with ASID Europe's Community Access project, supporting engagement with African communities in Berlin, I have also seen the importance of creating spaces where people can access information, connect with relevant support, and have their voices heard.
Receiving the Diversity Enhancement Grant means a lot to me. It recognises the journey that has brought me here, supports the next step, and gives me the opportunity to bring my own experiences and perspective into the classroom. I am grateful for that.
Through the MBA&E, I hope to grow into roles where I can bring technology, business, and people together to solve meaningful problems and create impact that extends beyond the organisations I work with."
